Open Positions

Multimedia Content Producer

Seeking dynamic, self-motivated individual to help produce content for company website, social media, and marketing efforts for a group of live music / dance themed venues, festivals, and events. We need someone who is detail-oriented, focused, can work quickly and efficiently with distractions in an easy-going, fun workplace. Playful, fun and good a sense of humor is also a requirement.

This person needs be passionate about new music, fests and the Los Angeles/Southern California events scene. We are looking for someone who loves live music and will represent the company with pride and enthusiasm at our venues and other events around the city.


Responsibilities/Duties

  • Assist with coordinating with various departments: marketing, graphic design, website upkeep, and social media.
  • Assist with the creation and utilization on marketing campaigns in print advertising, digital advertising, street teams, social engagement etc.
  • Assist with creating marketing strategies for events.
  • Assist with research and analysis of artist communities.
  • Assist with contribution of the design and creation of venue digital assets, including photo and video content
  • Assist with quantifying success and efficiency of marketing, promotions, media campaigns, social engagement and partnerships
  • Assist with creating and editing blog content
  • Assist with assessing effectiveness of current and future promotional and marketing outlets.
  • Assist with research and discover new sites and platforms to promote artists / venues.
  • Assist with channelling a sense of humor and lightheartedness into the company voice on social platforms.
  • The Multimedia Content Producer will work with industry colleagues (promoters, record labels, agents, radio stations, managers, etc.) to assist in developing and managing opportunities as it pertains to shows playing our venues as well as identifying and developing a rich set of venue assets to be executed on behalf of shows inside the venue.


Job Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in multimedia / web design, or similar.
    Ambitious individual sought who is a self-starter requiring minimal direction.
  • Excellent communication oral and written communication skills are a must. Candidate will be collaborating with, presenting campaigns to and contextualizing results for a broad audience every week.
  • HTML / CSS coding knowledge are required.
  • WordPress knowledge is required.
  • Must be proficient with using Adobe Creative Cloud products for design and animation.
  • Must be proficient with using asset management tools including Google Drive, Dropbox, Evernote, and Basecamp.
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented.
  • Must thrive in a team environment, but be able to take initiative and work independently.
  • Must have strong computer knowledge of various music applications and excellent knowledge of the Internet.
    Social media strategy and paid media planning experience a plus.

Graphic Design Intern

Spaceland Presents is seeking graphic design interns that have a passion for live music. You’ll work on-site with us in our DTLA offices, creating digital and print art for our upcoming events. Interns must be able to receive school credit.

 

SKILLS

  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Able to work in a fast-paced work environment and execute art revisions quickly
  • Knowledge of HTML is a plus

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Localize flyers / admats for print and digital use
  • Create banner ads for various affiliates
  • Order printed posters and flyers
  • Create show wrap-up decks for clients (pull analytics, create infographics, include photos and conclusive results for events)

Marketing & Social Media Intern

Spaceland Presents is seeking marketing and social media interns that have a passion for live music. Interns will propose creative marketing strategy and create/execute marketing plans. You’ll work on-site with us in our DTLA offices. Interns must be able to receive school credit.

 

SKILLS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong editing skills
  • Ability to develop a detailed and professional marketing plan
  • Must be comfortable with social media – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Tumblr, etc.
  • Ability to identify a target market and “speak” to that consumer through social media
  • Knowledge of the local music scene/trends is a plus

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Updating social media calendar and scheduling / daily posting across our platforms
  • Compiling links and stats to analyze social media growth and trends
  • Brainstorming on marketing and promotion proposals for our upcoming shows
  • Assisting in creating email blasts and audience lists in Ticketfly
  • Assisting with ticket giveaways and social media contests and tracking results
  • Proofreading and editing
  • Knowledge of Photoshop is a plus
  • HTML knowledge is a plus

Booking Intern

Spaceland Presents is seeking a booking intern with a passion for music and events. Interns will work on site with us at our downtown LA office. Interns must be able to receive school credit.

 

SKILLS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Basic computer skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the local music scene/trends is a plus
  • Broad knowledge of music/trends is a plus

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Upkeep and organization of booking show calendars and booking records
  • Compiling booking reference tools and data
  • Researching artist/agency/management contact information and stats
  • Monitoring and tracking consistency among show calendar and show builds
  • Researching and contacting international avenues for promotion of international acts
