"Chamba" means “work,” and is a word used on the streets of Latino/a America to describe your “hustle.” With roots in East and South Central Los Angeles, La Chamba fuses electric guitar & organs with heavy Afro-Latin rhythms (such as cumbia, salsa, timba & rumba), to create a working-class sound inspired by 60’s and 70’s psychedelic Peruvian Surf-Pop music known as "Chicha." La Chamba will make you move and groove to the soul of the concrete jungle, and encourage you let-loose and release your grind on the dance floor!
