George Sarah and the String Ensemble
George Sarah is a Electronic film and tv composer and multi-instrumentalist. Born in Seoul, South Korea, he moved to the USA at the age of five. He has garnered critical acclaim for his unique brand of electronic acoustic music bridging the normally discrete musical worlds of electronic, industrial and classical.
With 10 full length releases and former member of Stereotaxic Device (KK/Rough Trade) and THC (Buffy The Vampire Slayer), he has collaborated with members of the Los Angeles Master Chorale, David J (Bauhaus/Love and Rockets), Alain Whyte (Morrisey), James Fearney (Pogues), Robert Williams (Captain Beefheart), Joss Wedon (Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Avengers), Beijing Modern Dance Company, Poetic Kinetics-(large-scale art installations and experiential design group).
Recent concerts include a live score for 1928 Silent film classic by Carl Dreyer 'La Passion de Jeanne d'Arc' mix of Chant, string quartet and Electronic rhythm.
