In recent years, the West Coast has seen a revival of its once dominant Hip-Hop community. Consistent with this resurgence, Chubby Jag, a 28-year-old rapper, boldly intends to restore the Left Coast’s musical dominance. The multi-talent is set above the huddled rapping masses, and what really sets JAG apart from most artists is his ability to equally be comfortable crafting hip-hop records as he is creating commercially appealing shades of R&B. Despite JAG’S impressive range of talents and ability to make music for all demographics, he has ironically built his reputation by battling rappers in the streets of Los Angeles, and in New York City at the infamous “Fight Klub.” Since transitioning from battle rapper to full-time artist, JAG has seen his "industry" buzz increase exponentially. At only the beginning of his transition, JAG has already worked with some of urban music's hottest producers including Kanye West, Ricc Rude, 1500 or Nothing, The Heatmakerz, Dame Taylor, The Animal House, and THX.
In 2009, JAG met rapper, Cassidy and continued a close affiliation to Larsiny Family. After being a feature on Cassidy’s latest mixtape, Apply Pressure; followed positive reviews, more performances, and a guest on Shade 45. For most of the net, they were finally convinced to give JAG his hard-earned respect as a rapper.
JAG is set to release his official anticipated mixtape, The Bret Hart Experience 2, which will include Cassidy, Ar-Ab, J.R. Writer and others. In JAG, the West Coast has found its Messiah.
