LA native Cassandra Violet's transcendent indie pop blends infectious hooks, loops and layered vocals into a candy-colored girl-group confection, a la Lily Allen meets the Supremes. Already a SoCal favorite, her unique sounds have been featured at School Night at Bardot, the Moroccan Lounge, the Echo, the Bootleg, Resident, and the Regent Theater, with press in LA Weekly, Buzzbands LA and Glide. Her songs have been placed on Ozark (Netflix), The Mindy Project (Hulu), The Fosters (ABC Family), and films including Girl on the Edge, featured on Showtime. Cassandra writes songs from a modern woman’s perspective about strength, solitude, love and disappointment, sung in sassy three part harmony. Her second EP, Body&Mind, was released in 2016 and was featured on Buzzbands.LA, Hello Giggles, Philthy Mag, Audiofemme, and Imposemagazine, among others. Her third EP, out this December, was recorded in Los Angeles, produced by Derek Howa (of JPO), with horns by Conor McElwain and Jonah Levine, who was recently featured on Jay-Z's 4:44.
