This Party Is Killing You
After a visit from Robyn herself, Brooklyn-based dance-party masterminds ADVENTURE[s] bring their legendary Robyn party on tour for the first time ever!
See the DJs react to Robyn's surprise visit to This Party Is Killing You in a this video titled "A Message To My Fans." The video teases "Missing U," Robyn's first single from her new album, Honey, her first full-length effort in nearly a decade (it's no mistake this party is happening just a few days after the album release, consider it an unofficial album release party of sorts!).
The Swedish pop goddess gave the party her blessing by debuting the long-awaited single "Honey" to an adoring crowd.
DJs Choyce Hacks! (Chris Choyce), A Place Both Wonderful and Strange (Russ Marshalek) and Cherry Magdalene (Marley Magaziner) create a joyous, sweaty evening where you won't be Dancing On Your Own. You'll hear Robyn hits, b-sides, remixes, highly danceable tracks from other pop divias (think: Carley Rae, Miley, Britney and more) and then, of course, more Robyn!
Call Your Girlfriend and Dance to the Beat at the original, longest-running Robyn party.
What others are saying about This Party Is Killing You
One group of those fans, based in Brooklyn, became instrumental in keeping the spirit of Robyn fandom alive via This Party Is Killing You, a recurring Robyn-themed dance party in Williamsburg that’s been enduringly popular in the years since its post-Body Talk genesis. (The party takes its name from a repeated lyric in the Body Talk Pt. 1 track “Don’t Fucking Tell Me What to Do.”) So it’s entirely appropriate that This Party Is Killing You would serve as the setting for Robyn’s reentry into her fans’ lives and speakers.
At the after-party held at Brooklyn Bowl’s recurring This Party Is Killing You: A Night of All Robyn Everything, the evening’s guest of honor shocked the regular event’s hosts into near-hysteria when she commandeered the stage around 11 p.m. for ... the premiere of a radical new version of the long-promised “Honey” before ending it all the only way she could — by inviting the ecstatic winner of a “Dancing by Myself” dance-off to join her onstage.

Later that night at Brooklyn Bowl, Robyn made a surprise appearance at the long-running This Party Is Killing You: A Night of All Robyn Everything and debuted the full, complete version of “Honey” to an ecstatic crowd during a DJ set (obviously, the audience at a Robyn-themed dance party is going to lose their minds when Robyn herself appears). She also performed “Love Is Free” live and watched a “Call Your Girlfriend” dance-off, shaking it with the eventual winner on stage.
