Los Angeles’ latest output Austin Ward is a singer-songwriter and guitarist, thrilled to share his debut EP “Pheromone” with listeners. Raised between the sun-kissed jungle gym of Los Angeles and the backwood charm of Meridian, Mississippi, Ward draws upon his eclectic upbringing to inform his sound. His music takes listeners through a tale of first love and the lessons of heartbreak on the other side, driven by intricate layered guitar parts, velvety mid-range and falsetto vocal performances, and anthemic timbre, pulling you into a vortex of subtle sex appeal. With lush instrumentation and poetic, but pointed, lyricism, Ward has developed a sound that’s a must hear.
Hush Empire consists primarily of singer/songwriter/producer Nick O'Leary. Nick works closely with a small team of professional musicians (who are all producers of their own music as well) for live performances. Born and raised in South Florida and on his 6th year in Los Angeles, the diversity of Hush Empire's sound ranges from blues/folk to experimental electro rock.
With plush yet poetic rhymes that seamlessly glide over funk fueled harmonies, evoking a range of emotion far beyond her youthful look, Los Angeles native Sara Lina has captured a unique sound that is a combination of the psychedelic with the vintage vibrancy of rhythms and blues that pays tribute to her past. “I’m responsible for setting the vibe,” Sara says as she scribbles away lyrics in one of the many notebooks scattered around the studio, “In a time when women’s voices are being heard louder than ever, it is certainly inspiring to see a new generation supporting women’s stories and visions, and I’m thrilled to be a part of that.”
