He has toured and recorded as bassist for such artists as Gaby Moreno, Aimee Mann, Session Americana, Grant-Lee Phillips, Amy Correia, Sarah Borges, Jennifer Kimball, Kris Delmhorst, Ramona Silver, Chandler Travis, Will Dailey, and Melissa Ferrick, and produced albums for Dennis Brennan, Lyle Brewer, David Champagne, Steve Shook, Tom McBride, Kerry Schneider, and Ben Keyes. His productions have been mixed and recorded by Grammy winning engineers Paul Q. As a songwriter Kirk has penned multiple tunes with both Aimee Mann and country hitmaker Lori McKenna, and has co-written with David Champagne, Jim Fitting, Jennifer Kimball, Sarah Borges, Amy Correia, and Laura Cortese. He has been a guest lecturer in songwriting and music performance at Berklee College of Music, Georgetown University, Boston University, Boston College, and Suffolk University.

Kirk produced Boston rock and roller Dennis Brennan’s album Into This World in 2016 and joined Latin Grammy-winner Gaby Moreno’s band the same year. He now calls Los Angeles home and has recently begun performing with former X-guitarist Tony Gilkyson. Kirk will record his second full-length album in 2019 in Boston with his band the Meds.
Vavá
Vavá
VAVÁ is Vanessa Wheeler, formerly of the band LeoLeo. Since gaining attention from her posts on Instagram, she has opened for break-out artists like Lauren Ruth Ward, and has toured nationally with The Dear Hunter and The Family Crest (winter, 2017).

Her music is made of up of subconscious, micro-references to Vanessa's major influences (Brazilian, Black American, pop, rock, and progressive musical genres), which are then filtered through her guitaristic, composer/songwriter brain.

Often difficult to categorize, her music has been called “genre-smashing” and “jaw-dropping” (Buzzbands LA), and “the offspring of musical genes taken from Sia, Florence, [and] St. Vincent” (Blurred Culture).

VAVÁ’s debut EP “The Other Side” is available now. A full length album is due out in 2019.
