The Aggrolites
The Aggrolites
The Aggrolites are an amalgamation of two previous Los Angeles reggae and ska bands, the Vessels and The Rhythm Doctors. They formed in 2002 as a live backing band for reggae icon Derrick Morgan, the recording sessions, though never released, inspired the Aggrolites to become a permanent band. They have performed as the backing band for Phyllis Dillon, Scotty, Joseph Hill of Culture, Prince Buster, and Tim Armstrong.

The band's name comes from the English slang term agro, which is commonly thought to be short for aggravation or aggression (often referring to violence).

In 2003, the Aggrolites released their debut album, Dirty Reggae, on local reggae label Axe Records. The album was recorded at Signet Studios in Los Angeles in one day, with each song recorded in one take, and with many lyrics improvised on the spot.

In December 2006 they toured the UK as the support band for Madness.

Jesse Wagner - vocals, lead guitar
Brian Dixon - rhythm guitar
Roger Rivas - piano, organ
Jeff Roffredo - bass

Korey Horn - drums (rejoined in late 2006)
Scott Abels - drums (2005-2006)
J Bonner - bass guitar (2002-2007)

The Capsouls
The Capsouls
The Capsouls is a band from Bakersfield, CA
that dedicates themselves in the authentic SOULFUL REGGAE
sound of the 60s-70s. Heavily influenced by the productions of Lee Perry
and Leslie Kong, The Capsouls compiles a set of tunes full of vocal
harmonies, duets, and organ driven instrumentals (familiar to the
Beverley's Records era)
that will keep you grooving and singing throughout the night.
