Cynister is a three piece formed in LA in 2018 by Cynnie Jane and two undisclosed members who wear black and white masks. Their sound is a blend of the catchy melodies of pop, the energy and darkness of heavy rock, and the punch of trap. Their first single, "Stuck", comes out March 21st on all platforms.
“Stuck is about how anxiety and sadness can feel like a trap, like prison walls closing in on you. Whether triggered by heartbreak or otherwise, racing thoughts and self-deprecating attitudes can be really difficult to control once they take ahold of you. This can be very destructive, and it's something that many of us struggle with. With this song, our hope is for people to understand that they’re not alone in dealing with these emotions. We all go through it.” says Cynnie, singer of the band.
Genre-bending alternative powerhouse Luna Aura is hell bent on paving her own path to stardom. The singer, songwriter, producer, and triple threat
delivers songs that are brimming with messages of rebellion, feminism, individuality, and are far from ordinary.
Luna, who began penning songs and performing at age 14, has already shared stages with The Killers, K.Flay, Muse, Weezer, Garbage, P!nk, Odesza, and more of music's biggest names. She has spent time on the festival market,
playing KAABOO, Lost Lake, So What Music Fest, EMERGE and many
others. Her work and artistry has been featured in GQ, Teen Vogue, NYLON, Idolator, MTV, VH1, Ones To Watch and more.
As of late, the LA-via-Phoenix native joined forces with JT Daly for her newest single “Crash Dive”, a visceral and red-blooded lead to her upcoming album entitled “Three Cheers for the American Beauty”. Aura draws on childhood influences like Garbage, NIN, Hole and Gwen Stefani. Her latest work feels fresh, dynamic, and aggressive. Perfectly matched with her vibrant, in-your-face, live performances.
Packed full of new releases, features, festivals and live shows, Luna Aura has a busy and electrifying year ahead.
“Crash Dive is a visceral and vital song about what it’s like to be a female who feels disgusted by her own sexuality and desires, in a society that only gives you two options as a woman: virtuous angel or slut. This song is about me giving into myself in a way that I never felt I was allowed to growing up. Because, as a female, it all starts there. If I can make the choice to own my body, than I can make the choice to own my world.”
Thrill You Kill You
THRILL YOU KILL YOU is a testament to the strength of one woman, defiant. The entire project is written, produced, and engineered solely by Fei-Fei. NYLON Magazine praised Fei-Fei saying: Born from the ashes of her club days, TYKY is a liberation from the feeling that Fei-Fei had to be "a version of me that I thought the world wanted to see."
Formerly a DJ/producer, she’s traded in her turntables to become the frontwoman for LA-based indie/post-punk/electronica project TYKY. This evolution of her sound reveals a more vulnerable and rebellious side — the entire project is written, produced and engineered by herself. “I’m proud that I recorded vocals in my bathroom on a cheap mic. It’s weird, it’s raw and a little twisted, but it’s all me.”
