IF YOU SQUINT HARD ENOUGH, YOU COULD MISTAKE THE WHOLE AFFAIR FOR A NASHVILLE HOUSE PARTY CIRCA 1978".- CHRIS KISSEL , LA WEEKLY

"That's just one example of the type of collaborations in store at the Grand Ole Echo, whose definition of Americana is much more wide-ranging and diverse than its Nashville namesake, booking everything from southern rock to psychedelic alt-country to bluegrass to old fashioned honkytonk." - Jonathan Bernstein, American Songwriter

The Echo Park crowd knock back longnecks and listen to bands that can include (former) local fixture, Mike Stinson,or former members of the Blasters. Members of Wilco, and The Black Crowes have been known to show up and even take the stage.” - Los Angeles Magazine

“Sunday afternoons, put a kick in God’s day with the Grand Ole Echo, a downhome celebration with three live bands plus and old-timey jam and bbq on the back patio.” - The Pasadena Weekly
Cale Tyson
Cale Tyson
Cale Tyson is a singer and songwriter from Nashville, TN. Born in a small town in Texas, he was raised in Fort Worth, the home of Townes Van Zandt and the place where he first heard the classic country sounds that have inspired and enriched his gentle, melancholy, and undeniably whiskey-soaked sound.

In 2013, Tyson released High On Lonesome, his debut EP, which features Kenny Vaughan (Marty Stuart) on electric guitar. The release was featured on CMT.com and in American Songwriter Magazine, as well as numerous other outlets. Tyson has recently been opening shows for Dwight Yoakam on the road, in addition to wrapping up a new record which heavily features Robert Ellis on guitar and vocals. In April 2014, Tyson was featured as one of PolicyMic's "9 Real Country Music Stars of Our Generation." In October 2014, Rolling Stone featured Tyson as one of the "10 New Country Artists You Need To Know."

"Old school, sad-bastard outlaw country for a new generation of excited country fans."
-Rolling Stone

"Each song is the work of a craftsman who knows his trade, and Tyson offers a glimpse into the future of country music classics."
-PolicyMic

"Tyson channels all the woe and despair you could find in his native Texas on the album, crafting meandering and warbling ballads that harken back to the heartbreak songs of old country."
-American Songwriter Magazine

"Boy, is his pleading, heart-on-sleeve emotionalism refreshing right about now."
-Nashville Scene

Angelica Rockne
Angelica Rockne
"A sure mark of talent in a singer/songwriter shows when a long distance has been traveled relative to the length of a song they've sung. Angelica's soulful, mischievous voice travels far with hints of Stevie Nicks and Lana Del Ray while charged with her own unique, innovative style. In the mournful blues of 'Human Being' it's not a stretch to hear the full Phil Spector treatment behind it, or on 'What Will I Dream' with its flavours of soul and country we likewise hear someone steeped in tradition while pushing things forward at her own pace. Angelica's music likes to grab you by the shirt with charm and authenticity and show you things you're glad to have seen."

-Brandon Shantz (Hollis Quarterly) Writer & musician
