With Eric at the production helm, their upcoming debut was made over the internet, with instruments being recorded and mixed in LA, Oakland, Nashville, New York, and Europe.
Hazy and lush, Beauty Queen’s music washes over you like low hanging West coast sunshine. Echoes of Kate Bush and Beach House, Beauty Queen is best listened to while smoking at the back end of the parking lot, while skipping 2nd period AP trig.
The brainchild of Katie Iannitello, and produced by the ever chill Henry Nowhere (Daywave), Beauty Queen's vintage bedroom pop vibe is reminiscent of Katie’s native Maui.
King Willow is the sister-pop project of Julianna and Amanda Salguero.
East Coast natives who migrated to San Francisco, Amanda and Julianna cut their teeth in the Bay Area singer-songwriter scene. Collaborating with other locals and bandmates, their sound expanded to include more indie rock influences. King Willow brings a quality of vulnerability and earnestness to upbeat indie pop.
Since their childhood the two have been intrinsically linked. Julianna has been a songwriter since she could talk, and Amanda has been harmonizing and honing her vocal craft (basically) since birth.
King Willow released their self-titled debut EP in March 2017, and two more singles in fall 2018. Their most recent track “Blue Valentine” was released on Valentine’s Day 2019.
