Alaska Reid previously had a dream pop band called Alyeska (the archaic spelling of Alaska), who recorded their last album, "Crush" at the Magic Shop with legendary rock producer John Angello. Originally from Park County, Montana (mistakes + heartbreaks + shattered love + beauty and bad blood ) Alaska has been playing in Los Angeles since she was a teenager. Some of the artists who have inspired her include The Pretenders, Merle Haggard, Dinosaur Jr, The Replacements and Big Thief. Reid seeks to create a world within her lyrics and finds inspiration from writers such as Flannery O’Connor, Richard Ford and Patrick Rothfuss. Quake was produced with AG Cook.
