StarTalk LIVE! with Bill Nye (The Science Guy)
About StarTalk Live!
Science meets comedy and pop culture onstage at StarTalk Live!, the StarTalk Radio road show that’s entertaining and educating sold-out audiences around the country! Just like
the award-winning podcast and radio show, StarTalk Live! explores current events from the frontiers of science and space exploration, and, like StarTalk Radio, includes scientists, celebrities and comedians as featured guests.
StarTalk Live! performances are hosted by either Neil deGrasse Tyson or Bill Nye the Science Guy and are co-hosted by comedian Eugene Mirman.
StarTalk Live! gets its DNA from StarTalk Radio, the iTunes chart-topping, awardwinning podcast and radio program from Curved Light Productions. Each week astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, his comic co-hosts, guest celebrities and scientists bridge the intersection between pop culture and science with clarity, humor and passion, covering captivating subjects like space travel, human intelligence, sex, extra-terrestrial life, the Big Bang, the future of our Earth and the environment.
StarTalk Radio is hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson. As Director of the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History, Tyson makes regular appearances on major news programs and popular shows (Late Night, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report). Recently Tyson served as Executive Editor and on camera Host & Narrator for Cosmos: A SpaceTime Odyssey, the Emmy-winning, 21st century reboot of Carl Sagan's landmark television series. He has also previously hosted both NOVA Science NOW and the NOVA miniseries Origins. In February 2012, Tyson released his tenth book: Space Chronicles: Facing the Ultimate Frontier. Tyson was voted "Sexiest Astrophysicist Alive" by People Magazine in 2000 and Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential Persons in the World for 2007.
StarTalk Live! is co-produced by Curved Light Productions and Pretty Good Friends.
Brooklyn resident (and Russian immigrant) Eugene Mirman is a really great guy and comedian. Eugene has appeared on television, which is still a relevant medium for another few years. Some examples include: his own half hour special on Comedy Central, appearances on Conan O'Brien, a recurring role on HBO's Flight of the Conchords, Bob's Burgers, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Home Movies, Lucy, Daughter of the
Devil and the Adult Swim live action series Delocated.
