Bedfordshire, England’s Charlie Cunningham makes introspective music that is both relaxing and thought provoking. Charlie’s latest record, “Permanent Way”, is an excellent effort that blends ambient synths, flamenco classical guitar that he spent time perfecting in Spain, and angelic vocals. However, Cunningham’s real strength lies in is his carefully polished live act.
Charlie’s first installment of an in-studio live video series is for the album’s title track “Permanent Way”. The black and white recording proves that Cunningham’s excellent production compliments instead of supplements his innate talent. Evoking late Australian pop virtuoso Szymon, it is cool watching gorgeously shot live instrumentation that accurately replicates the delicate sounds heard on the record.
After watching the video, make sure to grab tickets to see Charlie Cunningham live at The Echo on Thursday September 12th. Tickets here.
