Echo Park Rising, the festival of free, open-air music and entertainment, is back in the heart of Echo Park featuring a wide array of artists across the spectrum. Key headlining performers include Indie-electronic trio Hundred Waters, and Los Angeles native Miles Mosley and influential jazz collective, the West Coast Get Down will be performing at Echo Park Risings 7th annual music and arts festival. Featured artists also include Surf Curse, Laetitia Sadlier, Meatbodies, Johnny Fritz and Holy Child.

Other performances by The Buttertones, Dungen, CRX (featuring Nick Valensi from The Strokes), Moon Honey, Alice Bag, Freedom Fry, Plague Vendor, Frankie & the Witch Fingers, Boogaloo Assassins, Ethio Cali Ensemble, Ex Stains – featuring Allison Wolfe (Bratmobile), Greg Foreman (Cat Power) are among dozens of bands playing. In addition to live music, there will be comedy from Comedy Garage, kid’s music programming, hipster crafts, storytelling, an art opening at the Subliminal Projects gallery and more.
The outdoor main stage at Taix kicks off on Friday, August 18 at 4 pm until 10 p.m. Saturday’s schedule of music and fun begins at 2 pm, and runs through 10 p.m.

The Echo and Echoplex will kick off Echo Park Rising on Thursday with the Super Tight Variety Show, Swedish rock band Dungen and DJ Jonathan Toubin’s Soul Clap & Dance Off.
On the food front, expect a slew of L.A’s most popular food trucks, LocoL, Pink Taco Food Truck, Ralph N Richies, The Tropic Truck, Baby’s Badass Burgers, Street Churros. You can check out all the food and non-food vendors here.
