We’re so excited to announce The Tracks as our November Echo Residency!
After dropping their debut LP, Treasured Memories, today, the Los Angeles songwriters will be celebrating with a month long release party in The Echo. Their single, Strange Moments, has received loads of critical acclaim, with features on Buzzbands LA, Remezcla and Uproxx, and had exploded into one of the most exciting releases of October in a crowded landscape that includes Kurt Vile, St. Vincent, and Soccer Mommy.
The record chronicles songwriter Venacio Bermudez’s upbringing in East LA as the son of undocumented immigrants. Many of their songs highlight Bermudez’s struggles surrounding the death of his father, a once celebrated Mariachi musician plagued with alcoholism and abuse, and needing to step up to the plate at a young age to support his mother and younger brother.
The Tracks bring a fiery intensity that is reminiscent of rebellious and volatile sounds of The Strokes. Driven by Bermudez’s rough and powerful vocals, The Tracks are quickly becoming one of the most exciting bands to watch in the LA scene in years. Check out brand new album here.
