Henry Chadwick

Santa Cruz, California native Henry Chadwick is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer.

In 2016, Henry released his first EP, Guest At Home, which garnered him praise from some prominent press outlets, and helped him gain confidence enough to start knocking on doors, a few of which, opened.

When Henry learned that he would be recording his debut full-length album with producer, Rob Schnapf (Elliott Smith, Beck, Kurt Vile etc.) He was pretty excited, to say the least.

“When I like a recording I often become a fan of the artist as well as the producer,” says Henry. “When I was asked if someone came to mind that I might want to record my album with, Rob’s name was the first that came to mind.”

Chadwick first became a fan of Schnapf when hearing his work with The Vines, and learning soon after that he had also worked with Elliott Smith, Beck and a handful of other artists that he admired. “Rob has been a part of some of my favorite records, and I had a feeling that he would be able to help take my songs where I wanted them to go.”

In late 2017 Henry Chadwick entered the studio with Rob and engineer, Brian Rosemeyer, and emerged with Henry’s most personal and ambitious effort to date. Chadwick acted as a multi-instrumentalist again, playing drums, guitar, bass and keys on the record. The 11-song album (due out in the 2nd half of 2018) is named Marlin Fisher, after Henry’s two middle names. The songs have been brought to life for the stage with his 4-piece band, consisting of Eddie Curzon (guitar), Zach Scott (bass) and Anders Cochran (drums).

Chadwick's self-produced and released 2016 debut EP, Guest At Home, first showcased his skills as a writer, engineer, mixer and performer. The EP garnered attention from prominent blogs and outlets such as Rolling Stone, Time, Huffington Post, Indie Shuffle and others. Rolling Stone and Time Magazine listed it as one of the best albums to come out in the first half of 2016.

Dancing between genres and landing somewhere between indie, garage rock, psychedelia and shimmery, sunshine-tinged power-pop, Henry picks up where he left off and moves across plenty of new terrain on this personal and ambitious full-length debut.
