“Fell Runner weave around shopping isles and melodic, post-punk hooks on latest release Supermarket” – The Line of Best Fit
At once understated and astonishing, Fell Runner’s blend of a post-punk and improvisation is declarative of a unique voice on the L.A. rock scene. The four-piece take guitar rock and infuse it with a literary sensibility, vibrant vocal harmonies, and expressive polyrhythms, influenced by their studies of West African music with Ghanaian drum master, Alfred Ledzekpo. Fell Runner executes these embellishments without ever breaking the uninhibited drive that serves as the band’s foundation, keeping their sound edged and urgent.
The band follow up their newest album ‘Talking’ with the release of a b-side entitled “Supermarket” via The Line of Best Fit. Talking, was released through weekly coffee+culture zine upstart Yes Plz. Fell Runner has received an overwhelming amount of support at Spotify, where four songs made the editorial rounds being added to most major Indie Playlists including “All New Indie”, “Fresh Finds”, “Undercurrents”. Terrorbird Media is working PR securing features with Atwood Magazine, WNYC, Flaunt, Alternate Transmissions, LA Record, Grimy Goods, and more. Already establishing a reputation for being one of the most exciting live bands in Los Angeles, Fell Runner will bring their explosive and spontaneous live show to the Echo/Echoplex for the venues September Residency with an eclectic line-up of supporting artists including Young Jesus, Genevieve Artadi, Sam Wilkes, Jolie Holland and Buck Meek (of Big Thief).
