Ryan Beatty, 24, went on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Radio to discuss his new album, “Dreaming of David” and the work and inspiration that went behind creating the euphoric, pop masterpiece.
During the interview, Beatty says that during the time of the creation of “Dreaming Of David” he spent a lot of time alone working on the lyrics and was heavily inspired by cerebral artists and pop melodies for the sound.

Pop music has been a huge part of Beatty’s life. Growing up, Beatty had four older sisters who listened to pop music and they would even have Beatty sing along to the Backstreet Boys at church.
Beatty’s love for music and performing inspired him to begin posting covers on YouTube. Labeled the “Second Coming of Justin Bieber,” Beatty found much success from his YouTube covers. However, things weren’t always easy for Beatty.
“I started doing the thing where I was posting videos of myself singing but then online I would get a lot of love but in real life, it was not that,” says Beatty. “I listen to music I make now and I’m like who cares.”
